"Life is not about attaining, but rather becoming.

As a painter I am interested in the figure, and my subject matter extends itself to ideas that evoke an emotional as well as a visual awakening.

I am fascinated with the idea of taking a two-dimensional surface and creating spatial depth by bringing the canvas to life.  Everyday, I walk into the studio with the anticipation that there awaiting me is the possibility of these experiences.

Zachary received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah in 2002 and studied as a resident artist in Helper, Utah, studying under David Dornan and Paul Davis  from 2003-2004. He has exhibited works in Utah and California. Zachary was featured in Southwest Art Magazine as one of the "Top 21 Artists Under 31" in 2007.
